Need Advice on feeding great dane puppy!? - switch ontario to quebec licence
Hello, We have a German mastiff puppies. We in Quebec, Ontario.
It was on food when the puppy breeder, but then we have to come from the Alouettes Canidae, dog food.
But if today we see the vet, it is recommended that food be "Medical - Large Puppy"
So ... What should we do? I do not want in your diet, or anything that might disturb what to change.

Never feed a Great Dane puppy food of any kind, no race, also great! Feeding puppy food to some very serious growth problems.
Vets are wonderful when it comes to medical matters, but not when it comes to nutrition and diet. Most have no idea about the nutritional needs of a race of giants, like a Dane is (apparently, the coach is not good breeders .. Dane never feed puppy food)
Canidae ALS is a good meal and while the upper end of the permitted levels of the protein very well (not a dog eat Danish food with over 24% protein, fat 14%) never feed a dog or even Dane maize grown food, wheat , soybeans and products.
Mastiff puppies need very specific foods that do not contain most of the puppy food. Protein levels are exceeded, too high and too fast growth. There is an excellent access to 2 pages with information on the diet of the Danes and advice on nursing and health problems in Denmark.

When it comes to specific races of food, veterinarians do not always know best. These pages are nutritionists and dog breeders DANE.
I bet the vet, the food sold at much?
Keep out the breeder what they recommend, believe me, if your breeder is responsible and who know more than any veterinarian who never about 5 hours after the nutrition education and has been a manufacturer of dog food!
The reason for their owners to put the puppy adult food due to a giant breed growing fast as those suffering with OCD / HD.
He said - call your breeder and tell them what the vet said!
If you confirm your vet x-rays that the bones do not develop properly from your dog / train, I think it's ridiculous!
Some foods are loaded with wheat and other fillings constraint in good health.
You have selected a wonderful new food, but I think you should probably look at a food specifically for giant breed dogs.
Simple changes very slowly!
